Customer Reviews

By Colleen (Stockbridge, MA, United States): I bought this kettle after my Krups kettle finally gave up the ghost after eight years. The Breville is very sleek and looks great on my counter. I like the way that the water display lights up when you turn it on, and the bell at the end of the cycle is helpful without being annoying. The inside of the kettle is stainless steel and there doesn't seem to be any abnormal taste to the water after heating. There are two things that I don't like about this kettle. First, there is a lot of noise when heating. Most likely because it's not double walled, which brings me to my second point. The outside of the kettle gets hot, really, really hot. If you can't lift it and pour with one hand this kettle isn't for you. I burned my wrist enough to raise a blister just by brushing past the side of the kettle. I would have given it five stars if it had been double walled.
By K. Rho (Bay Area, CA): I started using this when I used to live with housemates. It's the most amazing thing I have discovered and I want to get everyone I know one. It's great because it boils water fast, doesn't have any after taste to it, and automatically turns off when it's done boiling! WAY better then waiting for water to boil in a kettle on the gas stove. LOVE it!
By MT "Marik" (SC, USA): It feels solid and well built. It's a nice entry level Breville kettle. I also own the one with variable temperature controls. This model is a bit louder when boiling water. Otherwise no complaints.
By Claudio "Claudio" (boston, usa) : very nice product. built solidly. no cheap parts. I can only recommend it I have to see in the long term how it will perform but for now it works beautifully. All inside in stainless steel so no plastic taste after heating the water
By Black Blender (San Francisco, ca United States): Wonderful Kettle. It replaced the loss over 2 weeks of two pots whose spout covers melted on a gas stove. It is quick, turns off when hot, attractive and absolutely perfect. We heat water in it perhaps 6 times a day and love it
